About us

You are looking for a place where you can unwind, work and swap ideas? Here at Haus Erna you will encounter nature sounds, green meadows, a calm environment and like-minded people. Leave your cares behind and explore the beautiful green surroundings. We offer regular yoga/meditation classes and massages on occasion to complete your little relaxation time. You can and should feel free to participate in these or consciously opt for a different daily routine.With us you can feel at home, come to rest - and if needed work on your laptop without distractions.

That is exactly the idea behind the little break in the house Erna.

Breakfast is wholesome - and you can choose between vegetarian and vegan. The eggs come from neighbor's chickens. A barista machine conjures up the coffee. You don’t drink coffee? We also have a large selection of teas for you: green tea, black tea, herbal tea and much more. Coffee and tea are available at Haus Erna throughout the day.


CATERING (Only if guesthouse is open - if rented as vacation home please check airbnb)

You are responsible for lunch and dinner. For that there are two fully equipped kitchens available that you share with the other guests. For each of our rooms there is a fridge with a freezer in the large community kitchen. Here you can store your purchases and supplies. We provide cooking oil and spices. We also have a small selection of food and beverages in stock which you can buy directly from us. These include e.g. pasta, tomato sauce, frozen pizza, butter / margarine, mineral water, apple juice spritzer, Club Mate and more.


INTERNET

Our guest house has a 250 MBit connection and free WIFI is available throughout the house and garden.


GARDEN

House Erna offers a large garden with an opaque hedge, sufficient seating and small retreat areas. You have the option of working on your laptop, reading a book, practicing yoga or just lying around lazily and listening to nature. Feel free to do what you feel like. You are also welcome to enjoy the delicious fruits that grow in the garden.


YOGA COURSES (Only if guesthouse is open - if rented as vacation home please check airbnb)

Every Thursday evening there is a yoga class with Nathalie from Yogalieberlin. You are warmly invited to participate.


HOUSE

House Erna is over 100 years old and was originally a dairy factory. Since 2015 we renovate the house with a lot of passion, sweat and love ;)


Outside of the summer season (bed & breakfast season), various seminars are held at Haus Erna. There is also the possibility to book the whole house for groups and seminars. If you are interested free to write us a message. We look forward to you! 


Information

NATURE

The house is surrounded by forest, meadows and nature reserves. The area is well known for their bird diversity and in the immediate vicinity you will find other grazing and forest animals. Countless field and forest paths offer a paradise for walkers, hikers and cyclists who want to experience nature undisturbed.


SHOPPING POSSIBILITIES

In the village there is a small bakery with a small selection of baked goods and foods - such as flour, sugar, sausage, milk and coffee. The opening times are from Monday to Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. In the next bigger city “Doberlug-Kirchhain” (9 km from house Erna) there are various supermarkets (Aldi, Lidl, Edeka, Netto), other shops (pharmacy, post office etc.), petrol stations (one of them is open 24 hours) - as well as various delivery services and snack shops.

In Finsterwalde (15 km away) there is a large Kaufland, a DM market, one Obi hardware store and other shops.


ATTRACTIONS

With its more than 1000 years of existence, Trebbus is one of the oldest villages in the district and has about 320 inhabitants. In the nearby windmill there is a museum and the stone built church In Trebbus is also worth seeing. Around the area there are many meadows and forest areas for walking, hiking and cycling.

We can also suggest further attractions in the surrounding area:

  • the castle in Doberlug-Kirchhain from 1664 (9 km away)
  • Alpaca Island in Hohenbucko (9 km away)
  • the Hohenbucko herb labyrinth (9 km away)
  • the Atelierhof in Werenzhain (4 km away): here you will find a wide range of art and creative offers, changing exhibitions and workshops
  • Flämingskate (20 km away): a route system that is specially designed for the needs of rollerbladers, but can also be used for cycling and other roller sports. With a total of 230 km of paths, it is the longest continuous route of its kind in Europe. An absolute must for rollerbladers
  • Visitor mine F60 in Lichterfeld (21 km away): A disused conveyor bridge and steel giant.With its length of 502 meters it resembles an Eiffel Tower lying in the landscape; the Feel- and Art Lake- Festival takes place here every year
  • Tropical Island (42 km away) : swimming and sauna area as well as Europe's largest tropical Holiday world

By car It is approximately a 1.5 hours drive to house Erna- from ...

  • Berlin (approx. 120 km)
  • Leipzig (approx. 101 km)
  • Dresden (approx. 106 km)


By train - the regional train or the IC - it will take about 1.5 hours to Doberlug-Kirchhain from Berlin, Leipzig and Dresden.
From the train station "Doberlug-Kirchhain" you will continue ...

  • on foot (you walk ~9 km and can schedule ~2 hours)
  • by bike (you drive ~9 km and can schedule ~30 minutes)
  • by public bus (this runs Mon to Fri - according to the timetable; costs: approx. 3 €)
  • by taxi (cost: approx. 22 €) 
  • with the Haus Erna-Shuttle (you are welcome to request this from us)





About the hosts

We - that is Nathalie and Simon - are originally from Berlin and have been renovating house Erna with a lot of passion, sweat and love since 2015.
Our Bed & Breakfast / Co-Living project starts this summer. During this time, one of us will always be available for any questions and support.
